Installation of Vermicompost Tea Unit

As part of the Orange River Wine Cellars' BEE Strategy, Daan and Rihan from OABS together with Pedro Pereira from SA Biological Products and Ryan Newborm from Cape Vermicast visited the grape producers (Table- and Wine grapes) in the Kakamas/Augrabie/Marchand area to evaluate the possible sites and to install Vermicompost Tea units.  The intention is that these units will be maintained by farm workers and the compost tea will be sold to the farmer or farmers to be used as soil and foliar sprays.

Hamman Oosthuizen was 'n spreker by die Bamboes Simposium in East London

Mnr. Hamman Oosthuizen, van OABS Development, wat onlangs China op uitnodiging van INBAR (International Network for Bamboo en Rattan) in opdrag van die  NOK besoek het om aanbevelings oor die verbouing daarvan in Suid-Afrika te maak, sê in 2007 het die totale waarde van bamboesprodukte wat wêreldwyd uitgevoer is reeds VSA$2,5 miljard beloop.
